A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join an established UK manufacturer of bespoke printed cardboard packaging.
This is a 100% new business position suited to a genuine hunter who enjoys opening doors, developing opportunities from scratch and building long-term, profitable customer relationships.
The business offers extensive in-house manufacturing capabilities and produces a broad range of bespoke packaging solutions, including:
📦 Printed folding cartons & boxes
📦 Crash-lock & tuck-in cartons
📦 Sleeves, trays & skillets
📦 Bespoke structural packaging solutions
You will have the opportunity to sell a genuinely consultative solution, supported by in-house CAD/design, sampling, B1 litho printing, die-cutting, folding and gluing capabilities.
🔹 The Opportunity
The focus is simple – win new customers and generate profitable new revenue.
You will be responsible for:
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities across the UK
• Building and converting a strong sales pipeline
• Targeting brand owners, manufacturers and other packaging users
• Selling bespoke printed packaging solutions rather than an off-the-shelf product
• Developing relationships with key commercial and procurement decision-makers
• Managing opportunities from initial introduction through to commercial agreement
• Working closely with internal design, technical and manufacturing teams to develop customer solutions
🔹 About You
We are looking for a proactive salesperson with a genuine new business / hunter mentality.
Ideally, you will have experience selling cartons, printed packaging, cardboard packaging, print or another packaging material, although attitude, contacts and a demonstrable ability to generate new business are equally important.
You will be self-motivated, commercially astute and comfortable developing a territory independently, with the resilience and drive required for a 100% new business role.
