Are you a strategic, detail-driven leader passionate about shaping projects from the ground up? We're looking for a Director of Preconstruction to lead all early-phase planning and estimating efforts across our clients organization.
This role oversees estimating, cost modeling, bid management, and strategic project planning—while guiding a high-performing team of preconstruction professionals. You’ll partner closely with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success from concept through handoff.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
▪️ Lead and mentor the preconstruction team
▪️ Prepare and present detailed project estimates to clients
▪️ Build cost models from concept through bid phases
▪️ Conduct progress estimates at design milestones
▪️ Ensure accuracy and completeness of all estimates
▪️ Lead strategy meetings and manage bid processes
▪️ Track estimate changes through variance reporting
▪️ Develop scopes of work and manage bidder qualification
▪️ Oversee cost analysis and department workload
▪️ Facilitate smooth transitions from preconstruction to operations
▪️ Review/approve final estimates and bid documents
▪️ Report project cost and schedule status
▪️ Support additional strategic initiatives as needed

🎓 Qualifications
▪️ Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent
▪️ 5–8 years of field construction experience with leadership responsibilities
▪️ Proven leadership and a self-starter mindset
▪️ Experience with estimating tools, cost databases, BIM, and project-management platforms
▪️ Strong understanding of project controls and accounting
