We are representing an established manufacturer within the Flexible Packaging industry seeking an experienced Technical Specialist to strengthen its technical capabilities and support continued product development and manufacturing excellence.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with extensive knowledge of polymer materials, extrusion processes and film formulations to play an influential role within the business.
THE OPPORTUNITY

Develop, refine and optimise polymer blends and material formulations to enhance product performance.

Provide technical expertise across blown film extrusion, polymer processing and associated manufacturing operations.

Investigate and resolve production challenges, processing inefficiencies and product quality concerns.

Work closely with commercial and manufacturing teams to develop tailored solutions for customer applications.

Identify opportunities for value engineering, material optimisation, cost reduction and product innovation.

Support new product development, material trials and continuous improvement initiatives.

Act as a key technical resource across the business, providing specialist knowledge and practical problem-solving expertise.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Strong technical background within flexible packaging, polyethylene films or polymer extrusion.

In-depth understanding of polymer materials, resin characteristics, additives and film formulations.

Proven experience troubleshooting extrusion processes and resolving manufacturing or quality issues.

Ability to develop and optimise material blends to achieve specific performance requirements.

Commercial awareness with the ability to translate technical knowledge into practical, cost-effective solutions.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
